Halloween Antics and Wakonda Woes!

By Capt P.M. Petainen

With a full turnout for our Wakonda weekend in October, the Cadets and Staff had a great weekend in the wild. With the exception of several (4) unrecoverable pilots from the bush (they didn’t survive their Cadet applied first aid), everything went extremely well. Hence, our first aid weekend(s) in Janu-ary!

Halloween was a hit with even a visit from celebrities such as ex-President Bill Clinton and Ms. Lewinsky… Wait a ‘tick, was that Monica or Sgt Boissoneau in drag?! Costume win-ner’s included scariest (Sgt Morris), most original (WO1 Boy-chuk & Sgt Boissoneau), and funniest (AC Boychuk - Brittany Spears would have blushed!). Honorable mentions go to Perrin, A. Floyd, Xilon, Panek, Beach, and Currie.

Remembrance Day turnout on November 11 2001 was excep-tional with the squadron easily outnumbering the other units with over 56+ Cadets and Staff in attendance for the parade and service.

Next newsletter will be the last week of January, so Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! Make it a safe Holiday season. ’Nuff said. ?
