All Year 10 parents / caregivers and students are invited to aend the Subject Selecon Evening for students in Year 11 in 2021, at 7.00pm on Tuesday 28 July 2020, in the Mt Carmel Campus Dining Room. Student subject selecons will be due on Tuesday 4 th August 2020. For parents / caregivers unable to aend the informaon evening, the presentaon will be recorded and the link will be shared with you following the presentaon. YEAR 10 WORK EXPERIENCE Year 10 Work Experience will not occur at the end of this term due to COVID-19 and current restricons. The Year 10 students are ex- pected to aend school during Week 10 and their last day of school will be Friday 26 June. TRANSITIONING TO SENIOR SECONDARY - YEAR 10 DATE CLAIMER Year 10 students are commencing the process of completing their Senior Education and Training (SET) Plan and selecting the subjects they will study to assist them in achieving their desired future pathway.

Pavement Rehabilitation Works

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that pavementrehabilitation works will occur on Thursday I I June 2020 on Hackett Terrace at theRacecourse Road and Hoiliman Street and Columbia Street intersections.

The works will involve the removal and replacement of asphalt on Hackett Terrace, and wiimprove road safety and rideability for road users.

What to expect

. Partial lane closures and detours will be in place throughout the works zone.Racecourse Road, Holliman Street and Columbia Street will be closed to HackettTerrace during the works. Please seek alternative access via Burdekin Street andMCLeod Street.

. A reduced speed limit of 40km/hr will be in place throughout the works zone duringthese works.

. Traffic controllers will be in place at both ends of the works zone f rom 7am to 5pm toassist in directing traffic safely through the roadworks.

. Access to properties within the works zone are being maintained during the work,however there may be temporary delays.

. There may be increased noise and dust during some works due to the use of heavymachinery and equipment. Every effort will be made to minimise noise; however, residentsmay hear reversing vehicle warning signals. Workplace Health and Safety regulationsstipulate that these beepers cannot be turned off, even in residential areas.

All work is subject to construction progress and weather conditions. In the event of wetweather or unforeseen circumstances, this activity will be rescheduled for the nextavailable shift.

Road users are asked to drive carefully through the roadwork zone, follow direction of trafficcontrollers and adhere to reduced speed limits. TMR thanks you for your patience andunderstanding during these pavement rehabilitation works.
