Awareness of DIPG raised
Amity remembered beautifully
Dear Truscott Street Family,
Thank you so much for participating in the Walkathon in memory of Amity. We are thankful for the
support of the whole school community – both throughout the course of Amity’s terrible illness and
since. Together, the school raised $32,349.04, which included a generous donation of $7,426.30 from the
P&C. Those funds have been sent to The Cure Starts Now, a DIPG-specific charity. The Cure Starts
Now’s funding allocations are currently being decided. We will keep you informed as to where the
money has been spent. For now, thanks again and please don’t hesitate to talk to us about Amity – it’s
always a comfort to remember her.
With gratitude,
Mary Ellen, Jackson, Atticus, Rufus and Georgia.
