Jim Marco donated by Jenny, Emily & Julie Spiritual Adoption Program Coming To Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Everyone loves the beauty & innocence of a baby. As an expression of that love, OLL parish announces an adoption program for young & old alike. The members of our parish will have the opportunity on Mother’s Day weekend to “spiritually” adopt a child who is newly conceived this month. Not all newly conceived babies are allowed to be born. In fact, more than 4,000 babies lose their lives to abortion each day. It is these babies you are being asked to “adopt”. You may “adopt” a child individually or as a family by filling out the card inserted in the bulletin Mother’s Day weekend (5/13) & placing it on your refrigerator or a special place to remind you &/or your family to pray for your adopted baby. You will have the opportunity to name the child for whom you will be praying, thereby giving the baby the humanity he or she deserves. You will be asked to pray for your unborn child & for all unborn children, for the power of prayer is great. You will receive monthly messages through the Pro Life Corner, in our parish bulletin, describing your baby’s development & your child will be born in February 2019. There are millions of unborn babies desperately in need of your prayers. Won’t you please “spiritually adopt” one & share the love for life that God have given you?

Harvest Program Ministry
We all have a hand to play in the food waste epidemic and it’s no different for global businesses.
The sad fact is 30 – 40% of food is wasted each year, yet 1 in 9 people suffer from chronic hunger.
Hunger is a solvable problem and a more connected food chain would provide help to combat this issue. Our Lady of Lourdes is involved with the Harvest
Program to help feed our parishioners and community who are hungry.
**Drivers are needed to help pick up food from
designated restaurants and drop off the food at the Fallon Center or specific centers once a week. This program helps to feed the hungry, reduce landfills and divert tons of methane from the environment.
Interested? Contact Mary Dudas at 919-602-7951 or [email protected]. Thank you!
