DO YOUR VERY BEST

An older gentleman was on the operating table awaiting surgery and he insisted that his son, a renowned surgeon, perform the operation. As he was about to get the anesthesia he asked to speak to his son.

"Yes, Dad, what is it?" "Don't be nervous, son; do your best and just remember, if it doesn't go well, if something happens to me .Your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife...."

LET ME HELP YOU

Two guys are pushing their carts around Wal-Mart when they collide. The first guy says to the second guy, "Sorry about that I'm looking for my wife, and I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." The second guy says, "That's OK, It's a coincidence. I'm looking for my wife, too. I can't find her and I'm getting a little desperate."

The first guy says, "Well, maybe I can help you find her. What does she look like?" The second guy says: "Well, she is 27 years old, tall, with red hair, blue eyes, long legs, big bust, and is wearing short shorts. What does your wife looks like?"

To which the first guy says, "Doesn't matter, let's look for yours."

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands of white hair sticking out in contrast to her brunette hair.

She looked at her mother and inquisitively asked, “Why are some of your hairs white, Mom?” Her mother replied, “Well, every time that you do something wrong and make me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.”

The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said, “Momma, how come ALL of grandma’s hairs are white?”

Just give me a few minutes to introduce you to George Rodriguez. Well, maybe you already know him but I am going to fill you in a bit more on this very interesting man and what you learn may surprise you.

Our Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) speaking maintenance man has a very interesting past. George was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 10th 1941. Du to his father’s work requiring him to move quite often, two years later he moved to Balvoa, Panama and after that the family moved to Valparai-so, Chile.

George attended college at Guayaquil Ecuador State wanting to major in Business Administration but unfortunately never graduated because he was drafted into the US Army and sent to Vietnam. He did one tour of duty, 13 months.

Another life changing event for George was when he married his High School sweetheart, Leonor. When the family came to Florida from New York in 1967, they settled in Hialeah then in 1980 he moved the family to Davie which was just horses and cattle and has grown into a good size city in which he still lives. His family includes his and Leonor’s three children, sons Michael and Eric and daughter Denise. Happily, we can report George has been married to his sweetheart for 52 years.

George and his wife owned three very successful travel agencies which made it possible for them to travel all over the world. If you could throw a dart at the world map you would most likely land on one of the places he visited. George said the travel industry changed when computers came on the scene and travel agents were not needed as they once were. George, being the positive person and smart business man that he is, invested in a couple of properties with his wife and has been very successful. George is very active in his community and enjoys his favorite game Soccer.

One day he ventured out on his bicycle and found Oakmonte Village under construction. This peaked his interest and as they say, the rest is history. He was hired and now is our happy “eager to please” Maintenance Man extraordinaire!
