By popular demand we are introducing a new Friday

Night Sephardic Plag Minyan. A plag minyan straddles a time

frame that is an hour to 90 minutes before sunset, depending on

the time of year. If we daven Mincha before plag, we can daven

ma'ariv right after plag. In the summer months, this allows for a

much longer Shabbos and a return from shul while the young

children may still be awake.

The plag minyan will meet in addition to the 7pm Mincha and the

sunset Mincha. Since this minyan depends on sunset, the time it

meets will fluctuate with the changing sunset. For the next 6

weeks, that time is 6:45 pm. This minyan will feature a Sephardi

nussach and begin at 6:30 pm with Shir Hashirim and Ketoret.
