What you are about to watch has been reported by the National Weather Service Authorities as a Class 5 Tornado with winds that exceeded 262 Miles per hour. They also reported that a class 5 only hits the earth once in every 5 years or so. This is the second time in history that a Tornado of this magnatude, Class 5, hit the east coast and the first was in 1959 in Massachusetts. This tornado hit LaPlata at about 7:30pm Sunday 4-28-2002. These photos were sent to me by co- workers. Just sit back and watch from a safe distance!
