The Oklahoma State football program celebrated the grand opening season of Boone Pickens Stadium in 2009. Thespectacularfootballoperationscenterincludes a brand new locker room, sports medi-cine center, weight room and equipment room, plusnewcoachesoffices,teamandpositiongroupmeetingrooms,anewtrainingtableareaandmuch,muchmore.Somefactsandfiguresabout the $286 million project:

::Theentirefieldlevelareais146,000squarefeet.:: The equipment room is 9,000 square feet, asubstantialgrowthfromtheprevious3,000square foot equipment room.:: The sports medicine center is 7,000 square feet with four hydrotherapy pools and a digital x-ray machine. Included in one of the hydrotherapy pools is an underwater treadmill complete with an underwater video camera that sports medicine professionals can use to record data. :: The locker room is 14,000 square feet with ventilatedlockers.:: The football-only weight room is 20,000 square feet with all-new equipment. :: The theater room seats 200 people with plush chairs and extra leg room for student-athletes.
