• Why has the number of immigrants changed so much? In 1991 over 1,750,000 people got an American green card. However, that number has dropped to about 1,000,000. One million new people is a lot, but why did it decrease about 50%? Let’s ask our partners why?

• So, if you want a green card it is best if you either get married to a US citizen or another person who already has a green card. Or, after a person gets a green card they can usually become a US citizen within 5 years if they want that. Then they can file applications for other family members. And in fact that is exactly what happens. Is immigration good or bad?
