“We weren’t really looking to buy a home…
We never expected to be selling our home. We were only looking at what was out there. This is our
story of working with Garry and Lisa.
First we met Lisa…
Our first interactions were with Lisa were at an open home. Lisa was
running the open home and provided us with an information pack. She
showed us around and then left us to discover & absorb the home in our own time. Lisa’s approach
was great. We never felt pressured yet we knew that she was there to assist at any point.
The follow up…
Lisa and Garry were quick to follow up via the phone after the open home. Even though they knew
we weren’t really looking to sell, they offered to have the team complete an appraisal of our existing
home.
We did our homework and Garry and Lisa did theirs…
We undertook our own appraisal of what we believed our home to be worth. We put aside our
emotional attachments and adopted a pragmatic and realistic approach.
Then we met Garry…
Garry provided us with the feedback from their appraisal. It was realistic and matched our

1. Being realistic about what our property was worth in the current economic climate.
2. Using “BEO”. We had been put off looking at places that provided no indication of the
vendor’s expected price range. We didn’t want to put people off with “Tender” or “By
Negotiation”. We wanted people to know exactly what we were expecting.
3. Using Open2View. The cost is minimal, the photos are fantastic and you receive daily
reports on how many times your property as been viewed.
4. Open Homes. Short term pain for long term gain. And best value for money!
5. Being flexible for additional viewings. At the end of the day, we entered the market to sell,
not dwell.
6. Regular feedback. Garry and Lisa provided feedback after each open home about the
reaction of attendees and the degree of interest being expressed.
7. Open communication. Garry & Lisa made themselves available for contact at any time and
we responded immediately to any questions for potential purchasers.
8. Garry & Lisa. They managed the sale and all that goes with it in a professional and stress

I had returned to the Hutt Valley after being away for over 10 years. I was trying to find a home that
suited my lifestyle and budget. I had been visiting open homes, searching the net, trade me and local
papers. I was getting very frustrated with agents who were only interested in looking after the
possibility of a sale and their commission as opposed to helping me find what I needed/wanted and
at a price that was honest and fair. I was spending all my spare time searching but not finding
anything.

We recently engaged the services of Garry and Lisa Tranter to market our house in Trentham as we
had decided to move to the Kapiti Coast.
Before listing we had seen 2 other agents and made the decision very quickly on meeting Garry and
Lisa to list with them. We were very impressed by their professionalism and friendliness and we had
absolute trust they would act in our best interests. They were realistic and honest about what we
could expect, unlike other agents who we felt were only interested in their own results!
We had found a house in Paraparaumu we wanted to buy and at that
stage had not signed a contract with Garry and Lisa. We then needed to
get our Trentham house on the market straightaway and Garry and Lisa
responded immediately and began the marketing campaign. A stressful time of course as we did not
want to miss out on the house we had fallen in love with.

and with absolute minimal hassle.

other property were small incidentals but when two properties are so near in comparison it comes

Thank you for arranging access last night. We would like to settle on Thursday 18th August if you
could arrange for us to meet with the builder to put in the additional rail in the main walk in
wardrobe that would be good. Also he may need to hurry up the installation of the heat pump!!

Just letting you know we have a little something here for you both to
say Thank you for all your help in selling our former house, finding us this wonderful little home in
Davis Crescent & for helping us retrieve back our precious green washing line after a communication
breakdown :-) From Sept 2012 till the middle of March 2013 you both went well over and above
what is expected from a Real Estate Agent. So if you are both free next Tuesday April 16th, we both

What prompted you to select Garry and Lisa Tranter as your property specialist?
We used Garry and Lisa’s on-line valuation system to initially make contact. Plus we knew Lisa and
Garry from when they owned their video business at Trentham. Lisa gave me a card one day when I
was in there.
What aspects of dealing with Garry and Lisa did you like the most?
They were friendly, approachable, informative and kept the communication channels open no
matter what time we rang or e-mailed (due to our own busy careers there were sometimes some
late night calls). At no point were we made to feel we were being annoying and they were
absolutely honest about how much they thought they could get for the house and when, due to
personal stress, we opted to go with a lower offer they were nothing but helpful.
What areas do you think could be improved in the future?
None that we could think of. We had superb service and a wonderful gift at settlement – very special
and certainly not expected.

I approached Garry and Lisa for the sale of my first property with a bit of angst and nervousness as I
had never sold a property before. I had owned my property for 8 years and had quite an attachment to
it so was a bit stressed about the thought of selling, however Garry and Lisa quite quickly eased my
nervousness and stress as they were extremely friendly, honest and up front about the process and
what they felt we could get for my property. Garry and Lisa made the whole process so easy and stress
free as they were frequently in touch to keep me informed of the progress. I would recommend Garry
and Lisa to anyone considering selling a property, whether they be first time sellers or experienced
sellers. If I have the need again to sell a property Garry and Lisa would definitely be the first people I
