What is the UF VPN Client and why do I have to use it?

• Materials available electronically (journal articles, e-books, streaming video) are licensed for use by UF students, faculty and staff, and are easily accessible from any on-campus network.

• The UF VPN Client allows UF students, faculty and staff to “tunnel” into the UF network from any off-campus network, and access these resources.

How Do I Install the UF VPN Client?

• Go to this link:• https://net-services.ufl.edu/provided-services/vpn/clients/• Log in with your Gatorlink account information. • Click on the link for the OS X software, as shown. The

installation files will download automatically (Hint: downloaded files are saved to the Downloads folder by default, in OS X ).

How Do I Install the Software? • Locate the downloaded file (Check your

Downloads folder, as shown) • Ssssssssssss

• Double-click on the file to start the installation

How Do I Install the Software? (cont.)

• A second window will open. Double-click in the Anyconnect.pkg file to continue the installation.

• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

How Do I Configure the VPN Software?

• Go to FinderApplicationsCiscoCisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client.app. Double-click on the app icon

• An Anyconnect window will open. Type in vpn.ufl.edu, as shown below

• A log in pop-up will open. Log in with your Gatorlink User ID and password.

Using the UF VPN Client

• You are now connected to the UF VPN client, and can access electronic course reserves links and UF Libraries electronic resources.

• To disconnect from the VPN client when you are finished, click on the Disconnect button
