To Sum Up:1. The English Bible comes to us
through a three step process: Collection, Textual Criticism, Translation
2. Differences in Bible translations occur for three reasons:
1. Language inadequacies and 2. Criticism methodologies3. Cultural difference
To Sum Up the Series:
1. The Bible claims to be the Word of God
2. The claims of the Bible stand up to attack
3. The modern Bible is reliable today
Therefore, the balance lies with the Bible is the word of God as it claims
to be.
Therefore:
The modern Bible can be accepted to be Word of God to the degree that they adequately reflect the original writing.
99.1% in the original Languages
So What?“The Bible is the
Word of God in such a way that whatever it says,
God says.” -Dr. B. B. Warfield
