What is the Global Poverty ProjectGlobal poverty project is a international organisation. Its vision is to have a World without extreme poverty by 2030. Its mission is Growing the number and effectiveness of Global Citizens to achieve the public, business and political commitment and action to end extreme poverty

The GPP have Three Projects The first project is called 1.4 billion reasons which is a multimedia presentation that explores the issues It covers• What is extreme poverty ?• Can we do anything about it?• What are the barriers to ending

extreme poverty?• Why should we care? • What can I do?

After viewing the presentation people are able to recognise what has been done and what can be done to help combat global Poverty. This project to date has raised 4.3 billion to be used to save 4 million lives in the year 2014-2015

polio or infantile paralysis, is an acute, viral, infectious disease spread from person to person. TGPP is trying to provide a vaccine to those that are in Polio stricken countries. The Global Polio Eradication Initiative has managed to reduce the amount of people with polio form 300,000 in 1988 to 300 in 2013. Since advocating for the eradication of polio mid-year 2011 TGPP has contributed $118m in new commitments a Vaccine Summit which supported international campaigns and has been recognised on the international agenda

Living below the line is a global challenge to everyone to live on only $2 dollars a day.

The Impact of this challenge is that it gets people to think and change how they view and engage with the Issues of extreme poverty.

Since launching in 2010 it has gained over 50,000 participants across 70 countries

Has raised over $10 million USD for over 90 charities around the world And has reached over 1.9 billion through media.

A Global Citizen Being a global citizen is a tool to amplify and untie a generation’s call for justice. It is a place for people to Learn, and Act, to bring an end to Extreme Poverty.

Being a global citizen is about caring about the world and understanding that everything is connected

It is about children that are born to have the same basic human rights and be as equals in the world.

It is about uniting for a common cause and break the cycle of poverty because 1.2 billion people are deprived of basic human rights and opportunities.
