From February 2011 the rea-ding service of mammo-graphies is given to TeleRAD,which provides services ofteleradiology and solutions formedical imaging.

Readings of mammographicexams is done by a pool ofbreast specialists who, fol-lowing the guide lines of

European Commission

(fourth edition of 2006) and

Recommendation of CCM of

Ministry of Health (2006),

guarantees at least 5.000

mammographic screening

read exams per year.

The new digital radiologysystem permits duplication ofdiagnostic imaging onmagnetic support (CD).Then it is possible to ask for acopy of the radiographicexam, MRN or CT (withoutlosing of definition) for:• consulting more specialists;• sending by e-mail;• for personal archive.It’s a service against remunera-tion and the copy is providedafter seven working days.

DOCUMENTATION OFDIAGNOSTIC IMAGINGON CD

From December 2012 RX, MRN,CT provisions are documentedonly digitally (CD). *

The patient receives a CD withthe images of the exam, substi-tuting the traditional film.

The CD contains a self-instal-ling software available withWindows and Mac Os. Anywayit is possible to read the con-tent by starting the LaunchPadon the disk.

The reason to quit the traditio-nal print on sheet, is that alsoHospital S.M. Mercy in Udine in2010 and today consolidated inmany Italian regions.

What is saniRad?saniRad is a private structure of average complexity, working in the field of diagno-

stic imaging since 1994, for this specialty it received institutional accreditation. In

2006, after moving to the new location, also some new specialist ambulatory treat-

ments have started.

TARGETS

In October 2013 saniRad implemented a Quality Management

System complying with ISO 9001, for provision of diagnostic

imaging.

The structure follows, both for diagnostic imaging and specia-

list ambulatory treatments, a program of continuous improve-

ment and of achieving specific targets, as:

REMINDERSERVICE

The service, completelyfree of charge, remembersto the patient, with a writ-ten communication, theexpiring date of program-med appointments, dia-gnostic exams or specialistvisits.

The service does not obligethe patient to book theappointment at saniRad;it’s an information service,which lets the patient freeto book everywhere hewants.

Comments, suggestions, alerts or compliances about failures took placebefore, during or after the provision shall be submitted to saniRadManagement through a form available at the reception desk.

Management is committed to ensure an answer within 30 days from thereceving.

LOCATION ANDACCESSIbILITY

SaniRad is located inTricesimo, 10 km far fromUdine, easy to reach by SS.13 “Pontebbana” (150 m.).Besides there is a bus stop atthe pedestrian entrance.

The new location has a wideparking place, access fordisabled people (wheelchairs,walkers, lifts available);when it’s required to sche-dule an appointment fordisabled people, it’s betterto alert the staff, in order toreceive all information foran easy access.

COLLECTION OF REPORTAND ICONOGRAPHIC MATERIAL

Reports and iconographic material of traditional radiologic exams

are given within 90 minutes from the medical exam.

Reports of MRI, CT and all others diagnostic exams with contrast

agent are available for collecting after seven days from the exam

(except urgent cases); iconographic material is usually given in

parallel to the exam.

For ecographies and specialist visits report is given immediately

(except occupational medicine and sports medicine, which have

different rules).

Reports of sample point are usually available after two days.

Payments could be done cash, by cheque or bancomat.

In case of urgency waiting time

Exams where contrast agent is

required, are programmed

when the anesthetist is availa-

ble. In case of urgency waiting

are provided only by payment

and they are ensured by

appointment within seven days.

In case of groups of under 18 athletes belonging to sports clubs,

reception staff provides by fax or e-mail appropriate form of fit-

ness examination and delegation form for picking the certificate

up by some club’s handler.

Please remember that the agonistic suitability for somesport specialties needs to provide execution of additionalspecialist exams:• Athlete is required to bring copy of the same, in case they

are recent;• On the contrary please remember that you are required to

execute them (some of them shall be done at saniRad, staffregularly remembers waiting time and cost).

Certificate is usually availablefor picking up after seven daysfrom the visit, as long as theathlete has ended and shown allthe specialist additional examsin time, if required. A certificate shipment service isworking (it is mandatory to paypostal fees before) in order tolet the athlete receive the certi-ficate without going back tosaniRad.
