ANSWER KEY:Which one is not a remote sensor?

Human Eye: The eye collects data about surroundings, then our brain processes the information so we can see.

Bat’s Sonar: A bat sends out a sound (chirp) and listens for the sound to bounce off something and return to him. The bat learns the object’s location from the direction and the time it takes it to return, known as “echolocation”.

CReSIS SNOW Radar: Radar sends out electromagnetic waves. They bounce off and return to gather information about polar regions.

Camera: A camera collects and records data in a picture about surroundings using the visible light spectrum.( Visible light waves are the only electromagnetic waves we can see. We see these waves as the colors of the rainbow. )

TV Remote: A TV Remote is not a remote sensor. It does not collect information, only sends it out to the TV as a command.
