What is PITCH? This is not a free video to promote your non-profit This is not a grant to create a fun horror film or series of selfies or the latest best love story To qualify Age Any gender Groups are welcome to work together Living in the Seattle area Partner with a non-profit organization Experience media maker You must apply with the online application Be available to PITCH in person: January 26, 2016 Audio Poster campaign Photography Video Web Animation Apps Games Journalistic Poetic Documentary Collage Autobiography Experimental Eligible Media Possible Styles The Application Process 1.The online application is the first step.online application 2.Approved applicants will be invited to do pitch presentations on January 26 th at Adobe. 3.From this pitch group we will choose 10 projects to fund. A select list of non-profits is available in the FAQ. If you need more help finding a partner let us know. Application Notes Be specific. Who are you trying to reach? What are some ways you might reach them? What is your personal investment? 3-4 sentences is great here. See slide on budgets Share an appropriate media sample that you had a role in making, it should be something that shows you can accomplish your project A working title is fine, you can change it later Budget can be spent on Equipment (eg: cameras, microphones, lighting) Supplies (eg: backdrop, costumes, art supplies) Pizza party for your crew Artist stipends (not to exceed 35% of budget) Space rental Notes on budget Make sure your budget is clearly tied to your proposed project and the needs of that project Mentors If your project is chosen for funding we will match you with a mentor to help you for up to 20 hours. The mentor is not your media teacher, s/he will advise you and help you keep your project on track. The mentor needs to approve the budget before we issue funds.
