EAV is Electro-Acupuncture According to Voll, which can also be referred to as BioEnergetic Assessment (BEA).

Acupuncture is a science that works with the “energetic" system of the body.

Electro-Acupuncture is a computerized assessment that enables one to energetically evaluate the acupuncture meridians.

WHAT IS EAV/BEA?

WHAT EAV/BEA ISN'T

BEA indirectly measures the "Energetic System" of the body. It does not measure the physiology, the biochemistry or the pathology components of the human body.

However, the “Energetic System” is related to these components, from the standpoint of physics, not chemistry.

WHAT CAN A BIOENERGETIC ASSESSMENT (BEA) TELL US? A BioEnergetic Assessment reads the

acupuncture meridians and can assist client and practitioner to isolate areas of inflammation, degeneration or stress in the body.

Through BEA we can quickly and easily evaluate all the organ systems of the body, utilizing the traditional CMP acupuncture points on the hands and feet.

BEA can also assist us to energetically isolate causative factors, as well as assist us to determine the best supplement protocol to help in bringing about resolution.

BEA in general assists one to make more informed decisions relative to one’s overall health care plan.

HOW DOES BEA WORK? Every EAV instrument is an OHM

meter, i.e., it measures one thing—electrical impedance.

An OHM meter measures electrical resistance (impedance) and it is also capable of measuring conductance since the inverse of resistance (1/resistivity approximately) is conductance.

The human body is biochemical (physical). It has an electrical component and an energetic aspect as well. The acupuncture meridians are a communication and energetic flow network.

THE MERIDIAN SYSTEM

According to traditional Chinese medicine, a form of bodily energy called chi is generated in internal organs and circulates throughout the body, forming paths near the surface of the skin called meridians. This whole-body network is called the meridian system.

HOW DO WE DO A BEA ASSESSMENT?

A BioEnergetic Assessment is a non-invasive computerized assessment that utilizes acupuncture points on the hands and feet to energetically determine areas of inflammation, degeneration or stress within the body.

THE “UNIVERSAL BASELINE”…

The "Universal Baseline" makes EAV a viable testing modality.

Dr. Voll found that regardless of who is tested, no matter what their age, weight, sex, nationality or race, a reading of 50 with no change over time (no indicator drop) is an indication of an energetically healthy meridian.

Page 9: What is BEA

INFLAMMATORY PHASE

Readings that are significantly above 50 (65 plus) indicate inflammation, and this is due to the fact that when tissue becomes inflamed, the concentration of body fluids increases and, therefore, the conductance will increase accordingly. This inflammation occurs in the tissue and in the proximity of the related acupuncture point as well.

Page 10: What is BEA

“INDICATOR DROP"

When a reading steadily drops in value from the high point down, this is known as an “Indicator Drop" (ID), and it can point to a weakness or disturbance in the meridian.

Page 11: What is BEA

DEGENERATIVE PHASE

When a reading is significantly lower than 50 (below 30), then it is believed that this meridian is low in energy or possibly degenerative.

WHAT STEPS CAN ONE TAKE TO ADDRESS POTENTIAL ISSUES? One of the most valuable resources that BEA

affords us is that it can energetically isolate causative factors.

Once “cause” is isolated it is far easier to find the best protocol to address that cause rather than just addressing symptoms.

BEA allows us to track progress from session to session and clearly outlines whether a person is in “regressive vicariation” or “progressive vicariation” (getting worse or getting better).

The BEA can be shared with other health practitioners to assist them with their recommendations as well.
