Outcomes from the 2015-2016 evaluation of PLTI Graduates include: • Increasedinvolvement inpublicactivitiesincludingspeaking,presenting,andattendingatcommunitymeetingsandcontactinglocalofficials.

• Increaseduseofcivicskills includingconsensusbuildingskillsandcommunityorganizingskills.• Increasedparticipationincivicactivities suchasadvocatingformeaningfulcommunityissuesorpolicies,advocatingforanissueorpublicpolicy,developingprogramstoaddresscommunityissues,andassessingcommunitystrengths.

• Increasedknowledge ofhowstateandlocalgovernmentswork,includinga69%increaseintheirknowledgeofhowstatebudgetsaremade

• Greatersenseofself-confidence toinfluencechangeandtounderstandandnavigatecommunitysystems.Ratingschangedfromlittleornounderstandingoftheconfigurationofcommunitysystemstounderstandingthesesystemsnearly“mostofthetime”.
