The Mebane Woman’s Club
Committed to service since 2001
The Mebane Woman’s Club is a group of women committed to the
betterment of our Mebane community.
As a part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the members of
MWC are dedicated to programs and projects that encompass the major
issues of our time.
Each year, the MWC disperses approximately $20,000 in donations and
contributes over 1200 service hours to charitable organizations in the
Mebane community. Our fundraising and community service efforts
benefit a variety of programs including:
Local Scholarships
Mebane on the Move
The Mebane Community Garden
Loaves and Fishes, Mebane’s Food Pantry
Meals on Wheels
The Mebane Public Library
Local and State Art Festivals
Eastern Alamance High School
Habitat for Humanity
American Red Cross
And so much more…
The GFWC has been committed to charities for over 115 years. To find out

Money from tonight’s event will be used for our
upcoming initiatives for 2013, which are primarily focused
on Educational and Community centered outreach
projects.
Rules & Conditions of Sale
Silent Auction Rules 1. Each item at the Silent Auction has a bid sheet with it. A person wishing to place a bid may
do so by printing his or her name and the amount of the bid on the sheet.
2. The beginning bid must be the amount so specified on the bid sheet. Successive bids must
be in increment amounts of at least $5.00. Bids not meeting these requirements may be
disqualified.
3. Silent Auction tables will open for bidding at 6:00 pm Saturday evening, April 20, 2013, and
will close at 8:30 pm. The closing bid circled by the auction official shall constitute the
winning bidder.
4. An authorized person may disqualify your bid if you are blocking the bidder’s table 15
minutes prior to the closing of the Silent Auction.
5. The highest bidder as determined by the official (bid must be legible) shall be the purchaser.
In the event of a dispute, the official shall act as the final authority and shall determine the
winning bidder.
6. Winning Silent Auction bids will be announced prior to the start of the live auction. Winners
must be present to collect and pay for their items.
Live Auction Rules 1. You will bid by means of your paddle, the back of this program, provided by the MWC.
2. The winning bid will be announced immediately by the auctioneer. If for any reason you did
not intend to be the winning bid, you must say so immediately. Once the bidding for the
next item begins, that indicates acceptance of winning responsibilities.
3. Any other rules explained by the auctioneer will be in effect.
Conditions for Silent and Live Auction 1. Neither the donor nor the MWC make any warranties nor representations of any kind nor
nature with respect to the property, nor makes any guarantees in regard to delivery,
condition, or value of purchased items, nor assumes any liability from use or failure of use of
purchased items. And no statement is made at the sale, or in the bill of sale or invoice or
elsewhere that shall be deemed as such warranty or representation or an assumption of
liability.
2. All merchandise purchased must be paid for by check, credit card, or cash and removed from
the premises the night of the auction, unless other arrangements have been made with the
official. Items not picked up by 11 pm on the day of the event will be disposed of at the
club’s discretion.
3. Members of the MWC will accept payment from the winning bidders until 10:30 pm. Checks
should be made payable to MWC. All sales are final, no exchanges or refunds.
4. Unless otherwise specified, all auction items must be used within one year after the date of
the auction.
5. Bidding on any items indicates acceptance of terms.
6. All bids are final!
