Nominate a deserving student for a BOOMERANG Award beginning in October
What Goes Around, Comes Around with the BOOMERANG Award!
Established in 2004, the Boomerang Youth Recognition Award was created to
recognize students who exemplify the monthly Developmental Asset during the
academic school year. Parents, teachers and community members are encouraged to
a nominate student who they feel best represents the monthly Asset by submitting a
written nomination to the student’s building Boomerang Coordinator. Each school
then submits their “building winner” for the district-wide selection process where the
nominations from all 23 schools are reviewed during the CB Cares monthly judges’
breakfast consisting of community leaders and elected officials. During the breakfast
the judges closely review the nominations and select one elementary, one middle school and one high school
district winner. Boomerang district winners are celebrated in this publication, they also appear in the Bucks County
Herald and recognized by their own school at a presentation ceremony.
Additionally, CBSD seniors who are nominated and or receive a Boomerang during the school year are in the
running to be selected as a possible Boomerang Scholarship recipient in May. Previous scholarship winners have
been awarded up to $1,000 per student towards their college education. To learn more about the Developmental
Assets and your child’s Boomerang Coordinators visit: www.cb-cares.org
