Year in Review
n the midst o celebrating its 35th year, Wall-
Goldinger has good reason to be very happy
with its 34th. This past year was our best yet in
erms o sales and proitability, and not only that,
we built some o the most challenging projects we
ould have been asked to undertake. We also deliv-
red 92 projects o all sizes, surpassing our previous
2-month record by nearly 20%.
The variety o work weve done is, we think, pretty impressive, and includes our most compli-
ated single piece to date a mega-multiunction
boardroom table (center right). We
have also completed a massive
ssembly o 30 conerence tables
see our lead story) which eatures
n unusually complex palette o
materials and inishes.
Most o our projects are not
quite as intimidating as those
bove but the same thought-
ul approach and attention to
detail applies to them as well.
Our popular lightweight Arbor
ables (we built several hundred
during the past 12 months) are
n example at the opposite end
o the design spectrum. Relatively
imple, Arbors invariably involve
ome degree o customization and as such
equire the same mix o innovative engineer-
ng, ine cratsmanship, and on the ball
project management.Usually aced with a mountain o details
nd a diicult schedule, you might think
we approach some projects with a bit o
repidation. We do, o course, but then we
gure, who better to tackle these sorts o
hallenges? Apparently a good number o
our customers eel the same way and were
ery pleased that that has led to our best
ear so ar.

Fitted with 28 retractable multi-function monitors, this boardroom table represents WallGoldmost technically ambitious challenge to date. The design is by Bostons Elkus Manfredi with adesign by ACT Associates and fitout by Verrex. The table features anigre veneer with stainlessaccents and was engineered, fabricated and installed in less than six months.
WallGoldfinger developed a proprietary folding leg mechanism for a Davis Carter Scott law fproject in Washington, DC. Fifty-six lightweight Arbor tables were furnished, each fitted witharray of power and data connections. Sycamore veneer, maple solids and stainless steel leg bcombine for a sleek look.
Working with the clients
Feng Shui consultant, Mi-chael Oei Architects of Phila-delphia designed this harmo-nious conference table and
several complementary casepieces. The table features acurly maple field and sinuousdark maple burl accent strips, all carefully arranged withinthe egg-shaped solid mapleborder. The base echoes the
shape of the top.
