Orientation- Teaching: Never Been This Way BeforeFriday, January 25, 20082:19 PM1. Not business as usual

a. Being Spirit ledi. God is excited about you!

ii. You and me in our weaknesses have been tapped by God to serve the global end-time prayer movement.

iii. We've never been this way before- it's important to follow the leading of God.1. God will give us everything we need if we follow his lead.2. Galatians 5:25 (NKJV) 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the

Spirit.3. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV) 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

i. The bible tells repeatedly that we must discover how to live with a new set of senses because the data is going to be outside of the realm of our flesh.

ii. Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV) 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;

iii. Job 11:7 (NIV) "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?"

d. Many are believing for healing, for provision, for direction.e. Jesus in Romania in the video- healed of blindnessf. Ruth giving 20,000 and 22,000 dollars.

b. A reformation is comingi. 19,000 cities in the nation- none experiencing revival

1. Much good is happening, people are getting saved, the hungry are being fed- but, the biblical norm of revival is not here.

ii. Something must change- not a tweak or an enhancement but radical reformation.

1. It's a call from one system to another.i. For many of you your experience over the next three months

may be similar to the call of the Israelites out of Egypt.i. The stepped into the unknown- both a season of new

freedom and movement into the desert at the same time.ii. The call was to sacrifice to God in the desert.

iii. 5:3 So they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go three days' journey into the desert and sacrifice to the Lord our God

iv. Pharaoh wasn't concerned about Moses' demands because he had never experienced Gods power.

v. 5:2 And Pharaoh said, "Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go."

vi. This call is to move out of a powerless system into the desert night where the fire is.

2. The challenge before us is to trust God- he has prepared us and we have responded to his call into an unknown place.

3. Joshua 1:2-3 (NKJV) 2 "Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them--the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

4. Joshua 1:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

iii. It's a challenge to humility- we've never been this way before.1. Joshua 3:1-4 (NKJV) 1 Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and they

set out from Acacia Grove and came to the Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they crossed over. 2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp; 3 and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before."

2. A presence driven life will translate into a revelation driven lifei. When we are in the midst of God's presence continually we will

see God move.i. Prayer in the cave- lengthy prayer, it started with me

alone in the caveii. Girl with fear of the dark

ii. John 16:13-14 (NKJV) 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

iii. Joshua was preparing the Israelites to possess their inheritance. iv. It was a call to wholehearted response and pursuit of the Living

God.v. 1 Corinthians 2:9-11 (NKJV) 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not

seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. i. Revelation! Deep things!

vi. It's this invisible realm of revelation, in the midst of God's presence, where life for the believer really happens.i. Skylar's night terrors

ii. The revelation of the demon and of God's presence brought the victory.

iii. Not only does seeing in the invisible realm help us in day to day life, but if we understand that there are grand plans of God

unfolding beyond our line of sight, we will learn to live an expectant and passionate life.i. What is coming to the church and to our lives

right now? ii. Will we learn to trust God as we hear his voice

and discern his plans, or will we be weighed down or dulled by the mundane life that we have witnessed with our 5 senses since we've been born?

iii. Silence of the lambs story- there is an invisible realm around us.

vii. Today is a first step into the unknown.viii. God is drawing us into a life-changing experience in the invisible

realm. He doesn't simply want us to gain knowledge about God, but he wants to burn like fire in us!i. On the moon- do we want to learn about air or do we

want to breathe air?3. Joshua 3:5 (NKJV) And Joshua said to the people, "Sanctify yourselves,

for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." i. This verse should burn in us!

ii. The call is to readiness, to holiness, to being alert and zealous for the presence of God.

iii. Matthew 5:8 (NKJV) Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. i. Yes! Sanctified people can see God, they can follow the

Ark!4. Genesis 11:1-4 (NKJV) 11:1 Now the whole earth had one language and

one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there. 3 Then they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar. 4 And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

5. Genesis 11:5 (NKJV) 11:5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. i. Will we allow God to view our man-made attempts to reach

heaven (religion) and to burn them in the fire of his presence? Are we willing to release our own man made bricks and receive what God alone can give us?

ii. Exodus 12:35-36 (NKJV) 12:35 Now the children of Israel had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

iii. Drop your bricks! Release your man-made blueprints for success! Receive what God is ready to put into your hands so you can move out into a new season of life!

6. As we hear the drawing of the Holy Spirit to move out, to follow the Ark, to be in his presence, to cross over from the old into the promise, will we release our dreams, plans, history and with fire in our eyes blaze a new trail?i. It's voluntary weakness. Humility. The sermon on the mount

lifestyle.
