Wetland and Water Quality Slideshow
By: Matt B. Brian W. Shawn B.
Freshwater Marshes They are often found in
shallow areas. The plants vary depending on
the depth of water and the location of the marsh.
Muskrats, frogs, turtles, and birds are common in this marsh.
This marsh is found at the shores of lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams.
Grasses, weeds, bulrushes, and wild rice are some of the common plants in this marsh.
Water Quality and its Importance
Water quality is important because
if a marsh has a bad water quality the plants that help give us oxygen would die and then we would have less plants to give us oxygen . Also more plants and animals would die.
Good and Bad Water Quality
Good Water keeps animals and plants alive and bad water kills animals. Algae can make the water be bad if their is too much.
The Bad Water Quality
The water factor can be bad because of the garbage and other things like trash, chemicals, died plants and animals.
The Good Water Quality
The good things are like good water and oxygen levels, and maybe good depths and no chemicals or anything else bad.
Temperature
Temperature affects the water if its to hot the fish and plants would die and if it was to cold the fish and plants would freeze.
Dissolved Oxygen
Water falls, wind, rapids, waves.
Plants and fish must have oxygen to survive.
Particles
Large size Particles offer a safe hidden home for same organisms to hid from their prey and lay their eggs.
