The wet cleaning method is more a complement rather than an alternative to dry cleaning in perc.

Between 30-50 % of the textiles can be cleaned by the wet method and there is a sharp decrease of solvent-based cleaning methods.

The method is a total concept including washer extractor, tumble dryer, pressing and finishing technology and dosage dispensing system.

Ipso has developed special high tech machines, which are freely programmable by a microprocessor, which are completely different from those conventional domestic washing machines.

- Textiles cleaned with a wetcleaning method are cleaner, fresher and more hygienic than textiles treated with any other cleaning procedure using solvents.

New, milder bleaching detergents can be used to remove tough stains without diminishing color.

Fabric softeners and finishes can be added during the wetcleaning process to restore fabrice softness and volume.

Cleaners are now able to wetclean many garments that typically have been drycleaned, such as delicate knitwear made of wool, cashmere or lambswool. Even texitels made out of pure silks are is more effective, more gentle cleadned than cleaning with solvents

Wet cleaning machine technology

Ipso washing machines are equipped with a freely programmable microprocessor. With the possibility to adjust all the parameters:

- temperature - water levels - reversing time - action and stop time - cooldown time and temperature - addition of detergents

The freely programmable water level permits regulation on the base of degree of soiling, quantity of load and type of textile. The wet treatment process must therefore be carried out at low temperatures, with low meachanical actions and short cleaning times.

Frequency controlled motor

With a frequency controlled motor we have many advantages:

- Better stability A gradual acceleration of the speed rotation of the drum is linear. This permits to cross the critical phase of distribution and low spin under the best conditions

- Lower intensy peaks (amp)

- Longer life span Because the machine is less subject to vibrations, the life span of the components and the machine itself will undoubtedly be much longer.

With a frequency controlled motor there is no risk that during the centrifuge operation the textiles tend together in front of a cam rib.

Filling ration

In the case of wet cleaning a filling ratio ranging from 1:15 to 1:20 is used. Because we use a frequency-controlled motor we can avoid many imbalances. The machine starts slowly and the textiles are distributed equal round the drum wall. This results in optimal dewatering effects and smooth running even during centrifuging at high speed.

With the Cygnus Assist software we offer the possibility to create new washing

programs on your laptop or your computer. Later you can transfer the data to the machine by means of the optical RS232 connection.

Washing and centrifuges cycles

By changing the active and passive times (rotation action- and stop time) we can modify the mechanical processing. The speed can be switched over from 10 to 50 rpm. to reduce the mechanical action to secure the gentlest possible processing.

Dosing systems

With wet cleaning we mostly use soap pumps to supply the detergents:

Finishing technology

Wet-treated textiles are generally more strongly deformed (than textiles treated in organic solvents), but with special finishing technology it is possible to restore the garment. For special explanation about the finishing, we will refer to the different finishing companies. (they produce the trouser toppers, finishers for jackets, ....)
