Progress Update from Inpatients
Progress Report Inpatients - WD2,3,WAU+ TCU
What progress have you made since
the last session?
• Identified the lead—Clare Warnock (Practice Development
Sister ) with support from Beccy McGeehan (Matron)
• Decision made that the microsystem will include all
inpatient wards at WPH.
• Microsystems will take the place of Listening Into Action ,
which was completed 7th September. Site visit done by Jim
• Met with ward sisters (Stuart Amos and Amanda Traynor) ,
first meeting to take place 22nd September 1500.
•
What’s going well?
• Loads of data from LIA regarding admissions and
discharges available to be used for the 5ps
• Themes emerging already – Discharges, TTOs
What are your challenges?
• Staff engagement
• Finding a time to get all staff together in one room is difficult
• Some staff were unaware of the WPH strategy and the
Collaborative so an e-mail was sent out to all inpatient staff
to update them and to find staff interested in being part of
the microsystem.
What are your plans and next steps?
• Continue to spread the word about the inpatients
microsystem and find staff from all disciplines who
might be interested in taking part.
• To involve a representative from Pharmacy
• Meet on 22 September - 15 – 1600 in the resource
room on Amanda’s ward
10:50 – 11:05
