Begin Home RecordingLearn to record your music at home! Attendees must bring a laptop or tablet equipped with recording software (there are free programsavailable online and I recommend GarageBand for Mac and Audacity for PC) as well as a pair of headphones (earbuds not recommended).Attendees wi!l learn how to operate simple audio recording software to record instruments and voice through group recordings made by theclass, and then individual projects also done in class. Students will learn the basics of making drum machine loops with the software, andstudents may also bring easily transported instruments like acoustic guitar or keyboards, but this is not required. F OUNDATIONOur Mission: "The West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Foundation was established to solicit, receive,

and provide funds and/or property, and to receive gifts, benefits, and memorials for secifring, maintain-

ing, and informing the public about facilities and programs for West Lafayette Parks & Recreation.

There is a way to ensure that our children and all future generations will continue to enjoy the parks and

open spaces that enhance the quality of life in West Lafayette. Municipal funding priorities change fromyear to year. Imagine no open spaces, no trees and shmbbery growing on public lands, or no place to simply

enjoy nature. The West Lafayette Parks & Recreation Foundation is a way to keep greenspaces a priority in

our community.

Individuals may memorialize a family estate through a donation to the foundation. Owners of unique

properties can protect the integrity of their land by donating it so that future generations may appreciate it.

Help Morris Schoolhouse

Buy-A-Brick to benefit Morris Schoolhouse

at Cason Family Park.The Morris Schoolhouse features a brick exterior, wood floor,

exposed rafEers and enough room for approximately 25 students.

The West Lafayette Paiks and Recreation Foundation plans to

restore the building to recreate a true-to-life historical school-

room experience that can be used for educational purposes and

special events.

Relocated about 1,000 feet from its original site, the MorrisSchoolhouse now sits on 14 acres. The land was donated by the

Lynn Cason Family to establish a park with the Morris School-house as its primary attraction. It is sure to become the latest

point" of-interest in West Lafayette for all to explore. Purchasing a brick for just $200 each, is a tax

deductible contributions to a 501c3 non-profit that supports the enhancements and maintenance of the

Morris Schoolhouse. Bricks will be placed in the walkway leading to the front door of the school house.Forms can be found at Morton Center or the Parks & Recreation office.

participation for a successful class.

when needed, and prepare suppliesand materials.

FACILITY RESERVATIONSThe group and contact person listed on

the rental confirmations areresponsible for alt damages to City ofWest Lafayette property or equipment

and for fuii compliance with theDepartment's rules and regulations.

Failure to completely follow the rulesand regulations may result in immedi-

ate suspension of the activity in thefacility and the forfeiture of future

facility rental privileges.

NEW REFUND POLICY-If we cancel a class, all fees will berefunded. If you cancel at leastfive (5) business days prior to thestart of the class, you may receive arefund less a $10.00 processing fee.

Because decisions to maintain classesare based on enrollment, no refunds

will be granted within five (51 businessdays of the first class.Refund claims will be processed at thenext regularly scheduled City Boardmeeting. Refund checks will be mailed
