Dear Colleague
The West African oil market is undergoing a crucial period of growth. Exploring West Africa’s vast potential for commercial oil finds is now being realised, with majors and juniors striving to unlock the potential and capitalise on pre-salt plays.
Countries including Angola and Gabon have already made significant headway. And with unquestionable similarities to Brazil’s pre-salt reserves, Namibia continues its quest for lucrative oil discoveries.
In light of these evolving industry developments, the West Africa Exploration and Pre-Salt Forum returns to uncover the key strategic and commercial opportunities related to the region’s current programmes.
The Second Edition of this timely forum will bring together members of country specific governments, IOCs, NOCs, independents and juniors, foreign investors, seismic and oilfield service providers and all other major stakeholders within the industry to share their insights on optimising pre-salt and exploration within West Africa.
Join us at the pre-forum Namibia Foreign Investment Executive Briefing to uncover the proposed strategies for creating an investor-friendly environment, promoting partnerships and maximising Namibia’s potential for pre-salt plays.
We look forward to greeting you in Windhoek in June 2014.
Yours Sincerely,
Monica Ansary, Conference Director

In Angola, the high-impact Azul and Cameia discoveries were found in similar pre-salt carbonate reservoirs.
CGG recently acquired broadband seismic 3D multi-client surveys around the Cameia discovery in the Kwanza Basin blocks 21 and 22, to help understand complex salt-induced structures and deep reservoirs below the Aptian salt. This presentation will uncover the latest broadband seismic technology being used in the Angolan deep offshore area as part of the oil and gas industry’s efforts to unveil the sub-salt potential.
