Reflecting on the past school year makes me realize how fortunate we are at West Allis Central H igh School. As the new Principal of our school it has been a great experience to get to know and work collaboratively with students, staff members, and parents. M ost importantly our students have enjoyed another fabulous year. So many students have found success in the classroom, on the stage, in club activities and athletics. Dear Students Parents Guardians and Friends of Central H igh School

As our academic year draws to a close we have much to celebrate and many

happy memories Reflecting on the past school year makes me realize how

fortunate we are at West Allis Central H igh School As the new Principal

of our school it has been a great experience to get to know and work

collaboratively with students staff members and parents

M ost importantly our students have enjoyed another fabulous year So

many students have found success in the classroom on the stage in club

activities and athletics I have attended many celebration events and have

listened in awe as their achievements and talents have been showcased

As our Seniors graduate and move on to implement their post high school

plans we wish them well and feel great Bulldog Pride knowing they are

ready to make their mark on the world Our work with the current Junior

class will continue to make sure each student has a viable post high school

plan well before they graduate

Over the summer the administration and staff will be working together to

put into place a smooth opening to the new academic year and setting the

priorities to build upon the successes of the school so that we can improve

still further We should always seek to do better to challenge ourselves and

our students to set the highest standards and achieve our ambitious goals

End of the Year Student Bulletin ndash June 2018

End of the Year Locker Clean Out

All lockers must be completely cleaned out by 1100am Thursday June 7 2018

Anything left in lockers will be discarded

Students are to take their locks home to be used for the next school year

Book Return

Each student is responsible for turning in hisher books

Fines will be issued to student accounts for books that are not returned or damaged

Seniors can begin to turn in books Monday June 4th to Room 125 during 4

th hour and

immediately after completion of final exams

All text book fees andor fines must be paid before seniors receive graduation

tickets

Seniors

Graduation rehearsal is Thursday June 7 2018 at 1100 am in the Cafeteria

Graduation tickets (6 per student) will be issued to seniors during graduation

rehearsal Thursday June 7th

All fees must be paid in full and all books must be

turned in before this date A ticket is required to attend the graduation ceremony No

additional tickets are available

We will accept cash for fines or fees owed

The senior picnic is Thursday May 24 2018

Graduation is Saturday June 9 2018 at 1100 am Doors open at 1000 am seniors

must be in the auditorium by 930 am

Once you activate your account and establish your username and

password it enables parents to make payments update telephone

numbers and email addresses view student schedules and attendance and check on student

grades while logged in on any personal device You will also be able to pay your childrsquos school

fees and lunch fees directly through Skyward This important tool will help parents monitor

their childrsquos progress in school and allow for increased communication with teachers

End of the Semester Art Show

To celebrate the Art Departmentrsquos end of the semester we will be

having our annual art show Please mark your calendars On

Wednesday MAY 23rd from 6-730pm in Centralrsquos IMC the art

students will display their work Each art student is to create a written

artist statement describing the influence that art has had on their life

display at least 3 pieces of their work that they have produced this past

year and show up with a guest during the opening So come and enjoy an evening of Fine Art

State Fair I know it seems crazy to be talking about State Fair in May but things are happening on the

Fairgrounds way before August Each year the Young Peoplersquos Art Exhibit takes place Each

teacher in the state of Wisconsin is allowed to enter 6 pieces of artwork in this juried

competition There are 2 divisions the junior which consists of middle schoolerrsquos work and the

senior division which is the high school This year Centralrsquos sophomore Anne OrsquoKray was a

winner with her mixed media piece So if you are roaming the Fairgrounds find the building

where the artwork is hanging and take a look at some amazing work from around the state and

look for Annersquos piece

End of the Semester Art Show

To celebrate the Art Departmentrsquos end of the semester we will be

having our annual art show Please mark your calendars On

Wednesday MAY 23rd from 6-730pm in Centralrsquos IMC the art

students will display their work Each art student is to create a written

artist statement describing the influence that art has had on their life

display at least 3 pieces of their work that they have produced this past

year and show up with a guest during the opening So come and enjoy an evening of Fine Art

State Fair I know it seems crazy to be talking about State Fair in May but things are happening on the

Fairgrounds way before August Each year the Young Peoplersquos Art Exhibit takes place Each

teacher in the state of Wisconsin is allowed to enter 6 pieces of artwork in this juried

competition There are 2 divisions the junior which consists of middle schoolerrsquos work and the

senior division which is the high school This year Centralrsquos sophomore Anne OrsquoKray was a

winner with her mixed media piece So if you are roaming the Fairgrounds find the building

where the artwork is hanging and take a look at some amazing work from around the state and

look for Annersquos piece
