Wendy Sayvetz

Wendy Sayvetz began her career in January of 1990, performing at GrandCentral Terminal and Penn Station as part of the MTA's Music Under NewYork (MUNY) Program. Since then she has sold over 20,000 copies of herfirst four (self-produced) albums, and has appeared at numerous local artscenters and clubs in addition to her weekly MUNY performances. In 1995 aCD of her first recording was played in the Oval Office for President BillClinton - a Christmas gift from one of his top advisors, also a Grand CentralStation commuter!

Ms. Sayvetz has been a featured guest on National Public Radio's WeekendEdition Sunday with Liane Hansen, WQXR's Woody's Children with BobSherman, WNYC's Folk Song Festival with Oscar Brand, and WOR'sRambling with Gambling with John Gambling. Her "underground" career wasthe subject of a nationally syndicated feature story in New York Newsdayand her rendering of Amazing Grace in Grand Central Station opened theCBS television special, Grand Central Nonstop.

Wendy has appeared in concert at: The White House, The Fast Folk Cafe,Caffe Lena, BargeMusic, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Carnivale diVenezia (Italy), Planting Fields Arboretum, The Howland Center, and TheRye Arts Center, among other venues...and as a guest artist of AndreaMarcovicci at both Symphony Space and the Algonquin Hotel/Oak Room.Just before Christmas of 2001, she had the honor of performing "SilentNight" for New York City's Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Wendy recently released her fifth recording – a debut album for zoomToneRecords…Wendy and the Lost Boys – Track 39. She is joined on thisrecording by her husband, guitarist Andrew Schulman, and her producer,clarinetist Sam Parkins.

Wendy’s concert programs combine both classic and contemporary songsfrom the folk music and musical theater genres.
