Hey AIESEC! Welcome to WENA LDS! I am super excited to be in this amazing life changing conference!

I am so eager to be there, and I am so much looking forward to knowing each of you!

So, here I am! My name is Freddy, original from AIESEC Hong Kong LC PolyU, then I was management trainee in Google India as my GIP (a new name for me haha! My time called it MT, anyway) Then I turned down a long term offer from the company to rejoin AIESEC

as a full time as MC in Macedonia for VPTM. Both sides thought I was insane. A long story, I will tell you in the plenary.

Now I am AIESEC alumni, as well as a TN taker, an entrepreneur for a social enterprise

(www.icehongkong.com) and an impact investor for incubation (www.socialinvestorsclub.com), right now managing global expansion for my company.

I really wanted to see the growth of AIESECers and AIESEC to be a successful organization

for the society. Let's make it happen together!

Logistics: On March 12, you will go to Vienna University of Economics and Business

(Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien - WU) first.

Here is how you come from Vienna International Airport to the university from our VP Logistics Lupu

You can take either the routes that we provide you with or take a Taxi ( about 25 € ).

Please consider that if you take one of the routes the trip will take about 45 - 60min.

Route 1 :

Take the CAT Train from the Airport ( 10 € ) until you reach Wien Mitte-Landstraße .

Here, buy a Einzelfahrt ticket ( 1,80 € ) and take U4 direction Heiligenstadt.

Get off the U4 at station Wien Spittelau Bahnhst (U4). From here you have to go by foot about 2 minutes until you reach the university.

Route 2 :

Take the S7 Train direction Floridsdorf ( 5,40 € ) until you reach station Wien Mitte-Landstraße.

Here, buy a Einzelfahrt ticket ( 1,80 € ) and take U4 direction Heiligenstadt.

Get off the U4 at station Wien Spittelau Bahnhst (U4). From here you have to go by foot about 3 minutes until you reach the university.

Global Village Here is the message from our VP Events Isabelle

The first day of our conference will be taking place in Vienna at the University of Economics. We will have two important events on our Day 0: the public Global Village and the official Opening Ceremony.

Each country, represented with delegates at our awesome conference, will have some tables

at their disposal and it's your job to present your country in the coolest and most authentic way! So bring food and drinks, posters and goodies that are typical for

your country! But bare in mind, that since the Global Village is public and happening at the University it is without alcohol. We will provide you with tape and plastic dishes.

During the Global Village there will be every 15 minutes roll call performances on a

little stage in the hall. So if you and your AIESEC country want to dance their traditional

The Global Village is taking place in the big entrance hall of the University and is open for all students. It will start at 13:00.

For those of you that don't know what a Global Village is: It is an event that happens at every big international conference, where the delegates represent their cultures and countries with food, drinks, decorations (posters, goodies, flags etc.) and traditional clothing.

As a little incentive, know that there is a Reward for the best performing country at the Global Village (including the best tables and the awesome-st roll call performances!!)

After the Global Village you will have time to change into formal dresses and afterwards there will be the Official Opening! Dresscode: Business casual!

The Opening Ceremony will take place at the festive hall of the University and afterwards we will drive to Graz together.

Y2B – Youth to Business

The Y2B forum event will take place on Tuesday, 13th of March in Graz.

We expect you to have a business casual dress style and show lots of interest toward our guests.

I know you are all very excited to get to know our party themes, and these are the top favorites of the Facebook poll!

I really want you all to bring your coolest and most creative costumes, since we want to make this conference special and unforgettable, right?? :)

Soooo, here are the themes:

Monday: Chill-out party

We will only arrive very late at the hostel, so there is no theme on Monday, since I guess we will all be rather exhausted from the trip, day 0 (and the study tour). So we will just enjoy a chilled beer and relax.

Tuesday: Austrian Night + Bad Taste Party

Since our awesome conference is in beautiful Austria and AIESEC is all about getting to know other cultures, we will present to you our lovely home country.

For the rest of the night the theme will be Bad Taste- worst of the 90s. So make sure to dress up and show us the worst that your closet has to offer!

Wednesday: Boatrace and ABC Party

On Wednesday we will have the legendary AIESEC-Boatrace, so prepare your best crew and make sure to train before the conference, competition will be though.. ;)

Since Boatraces can be quite messy and we don't want to get our clothes dirty ;) the theme of Wednesday party is: Anything But Clothes! You can only wear things on your body that are not regular clothes!! For some hints check out the pictures and be as creative as possible!! I heard rumors that there will be a reward for the most creative costume.. ;)

Thursday: Horror-Night

Thursday is Horror-Night, meaning dress up as Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires - we want to be scared!!!

Friday: Internal Global Village + Sex change party

And last but not least on the last night there will be the famous Global Village, so make sure to bring traditional alcohol and typical beverages from your country to the conference, for the other delegates to discover how you party in your home country! :) There can also be games etc., again creativity is highly appreciated!

The theme of the night will be Sex change Party, so guys dress up as girly as you can!

And girls show how manly you can be!!
