Campers are also introduced to peer support leaders who are successfulyoung adults living with MS This gives campers the opportunity to meetolder peers who have followed their dreams despite their MS diagnosis
The camp (and travel) is FREE for Canadian campers

The MS Society of Canada has re-opened the Air Conditioner program for 2018 TheEquipment Provision Program will provide limited assistance with funding towards airconditioners for eligible applicants Assistance provided will be based on complete and eligible applications received on a rstcome rst served basis while funds last Clients must apply for assistance before making apurchase in order to ensure they qualify and funding is still available Please submitapplications or questions to the EPP Coordinator John at 604-602-3201 fax 604-689-0377 oremail epp-bcmssocietyca

MS telehealth clinic opens its doors in NanaimoSatellite clinic considered rst of its kind in Canada
By Tamara Cunningham BC Local News A satellite telehealth clinic for MS patients considered the rst of its kind in Canada openedat Nanaimo Regional General Hospital today May 1 to boost access to neurologists
TeleMS launched four years ago in Parksville as a pilot program allowing patients north of theMalahat to video-conference with their neurologist and access supports closer to home Itrsquosnow a sustained fully funded Island Health program thatrsquos moving to NRGH to be closer tothe emergency department other health professionals and patients in Parksville Nanaimoand Port Alberni

TeleMS launched four years ago in Parksville as a pilot program allowing patients north of theMalahat to video-conference with their neurologist and access supports closer to home Itrsquosnow a sustained fully funded Island Health program thatrsquos moving to NRGH to be closer tothe emergency department other health professionals and patients in Parksville Nanaimoand Port Alberni
