In life we have two options to live by: Living life in ad-hoc and unplanned manner and experiencing
diseases ,unhappiness and disharmony in life
Living life in systematic and planned manner by developing and implementing Wellness Management System (WMS) based on Wellness Integration Model (WIM) as supporting tool for developing, implementing, monitoring and correcting various life issues in the same manner like QMS,EMS,OHSAS etc. Living by this way will ensure health, happiness and harmony in our life

Need for Wellness Management System (WMS) Documentation
Wellness documentation can be of 3 tier.1st tier document is Wellness Manual: It is developed based on Wellness Integration Model. It shall contain the individual strategy for each elements of Wellness Integration Model. In this manual reference to the wellness instructions is given.
2nd tier document is Wellness Instructions: This manual includes the guidelines for wellness process implementation like WI for various wellness issues of health like Hypertension, Diabetes ,Exercise, Relaxation, Recipe for low calorie item preparation etc.It gives complete guidelines for carrying out wellness activities in the desired manner. It is in sufficient detail so as to carryout activities without mistake without guidance.
12
Need for Wellness Management System (WMS) Documentation
3rd tier document is Wellness Formats: The wellness formats are developed to record the activities performed by an individual as per wellness instructions. e.g. Formats to record exercise type, duration and time, depression episodes, weight chart, income-expense record , daily nutrition intake, sleep disturbances, income tax record etc. Documents are just sufficient to implement wellness management
system in life. Documents are simple, clear and easy to implement Documents are adequate to implement, monitor and correct the
wellness management system Documents can be maintained in soft or hard form suitable to the
individual Documents are properly indexed and linked with relevant
processes13
Need for Wellness Management System (WMS) record keeping
Wellness Records are maintained as a proof of effective implementation of wellness processes. Records are sufficient to support subsequent process operations. Only those records are maintained which help in implementing,
monitoring and correcting the subsequent processes. Records are analyzed at regular interval for root cause for existing
problems or potential issues that may arise in future and give direction for preventive actions.
Records of confidential nature are properly preserved at safe place. Records are maintained for period as per requirement for future use and
or for legal or other requirements. Records are maintained in soft or hard form suitable to the individual Records are maintained for the implementation status of action plans,
achievement of end results, feedback, complaints and gap analysis Those record which do not promote wellness in life is not maintained .

The WMS takes into consideration the basic values one honors for upliftment of self and society at large. The role, responsibility, authority and accountability are defined by the individual towards oneself and others for taking action wherever one can and tries to influence in the area where one can not take action. The intent of model is to generate a win-win approach towards one self and others. The wellness model clauses and their integration elements are addressed as shown in the following presentation slides:

2.2 Documents and records
The intent of the Wellness Integration Model (WIM ) is to develop adequate documents and maintain records for the effective implementation of the wellness management system. While developing documents, the individual level of competence, expertise and skill in different areas of one’s activities is taken into consideration. The documents are developed for those areas where its absence could lead to issues of quality of life. Documents serves as a base for the assessor to evaluate the system implemented by the assessed individual. The records are maintained by the individual as a evidence of effective implementation of WIM by oneself. The documents and records are preferably maintained on computer and are hyperlinked with the respective model or the integration elements for which they are developed. It can also be maintained as hard / soft copy as per one’s connivance.
21
2.2 Documents and records

better applicabilityd) Documents are updated after improving existing practicese) Documents are reviewed periodically for applicabilityf) The best wellness practices witnessed or noticed amongst the colleagues,
literature on net or any media or seen practicing by any one, the documents are updated for better practices

wherever feasibled) Records in hard form are protected from adverse storage conditionse) Records of soft nature are protected from damage or virus invasion or
loss and back up is taken at regular intervalf) Records are properly indexed for easy irretrievabilityg) Record of confidential nature are well preserved at a safe location
23
2.3 Wellness management planning
The WIM implementation can be effective only if wellness management planning is carried out in a proper manner. The ideal requirement for each life area is identified by individual. The existing state of wellness is assessed by oneself and / or the competent individual with the help of assessing tool and the gap is identified as an area of concern for taking action to improve the quality of life.Integrations are evolved for each of the eight life areas and action plans are evolved with do’s and don'ts with clear understanding of pay-off and pleasure for implementing action plan and penalty and pain resulting due to non implementation of the action plan. The action plans are implemented with active support of all concerned to get the desired results.
24
2.3 Wellness management planning

action plane) The record of the implementation of action plans in timely and
adequately manner and problems encountered in its implementation is maintained

2.4 Knowledge and skill assessment and improvement
The intent of the model is to support the individual in assessing the need and developing the knowledge and skill in the chosen field for making continual improvement. The model also provides guideline in defining the qualification, experience, skill and training pertaining to each role, identifying the existing status and determining the gap.
It also supports the individual in deciding course of action in developing the competency for existing and new assignments and meeting with challenges in life. The model also guides the individual in identifying the emerging new fields of knowledge and expertise that one can acquire to achieve the cutting edge over the conventional level of expertise possessed by the average group of people.
31
2.4 Knowledge and skill assessment and improvement
2.4.1 The competency required for each area of wellness is identified in terms of qualification, experience, skill and training
a) The qualification, experience, skill and training needed for achieving wellness in each eight areas of life is identified for the present and future assignment in the chosen field
b) Competency requirements are assessed to achieve wellness in lifec) Record of requirement assessment is maintained
32
2.4 Knowledge and skill assessment and improvement
2.4.2 Based on the existing level of knowledge, experience and skill possessed by individual, the gap is identified and need for its enhancement is determined

b) The gap is identified for the ideal v/s actual competency possessed by individual for the present and future assignments
c) The need for achieving additional qualification, experience, skill or training is determined by self or professional
d) The objectives are evolved with a time frame to achieve needed competence level
33
2.4 Knowledge and Skill assessment and Improvement
2.4.3 The need for enhancement of knowledge and skill is fulfilled by university course, on the job training, seminar, workshop or self study or other feasible means
a) The university course, on the job training, distance learning or skill building efforts are planned through seminar workshop or self study or by other feasible means
b) Planning of resource and infrastructure required is carried out and their availability is ensured in timely manner for knowledge acquiring and skill building
c) The seminar, workshop or self study efforts are made to enhance the individual competency
34
2.4 Knowledge and Skill assessment and Improvement
2.4.4 The effectiveness of the efforts made to enhance knowledge or skill is assessed by self-test or through competent person or other means and need for further training and skill building is identified
a) After the skill building effort, it is assessed by competent person, self test or online test to identify gap, if any
b) The adequacy of the qualification experience and skill for the present and future assignments is assessed and further need for training and skill building, if any is determined
