Letchmore Infants’ and

Nursery School

Hello

We are pleased that you will be joining our

Nursery. We are looking forward to playing with

you and getting to know you.

The grown-ups who will be working with you are

called:

When you come into Nursery please hold your

grown-up’s hand.

Together with your grown-up, you have four

jobs to do;

1. Hang up your coat.

2. Put your named water bottle in the crate.

3. Choose a story book to take home and put

your book bag in the basket.

4. Put your name card on the board to show

us that you are here.

Now you can choose an activity and say goodbye

to your grown-up.

Nursery is fun with lots to do. These are some

of the things that you can choose from;

Small world role play

Trains and vehicles

Topic trays

Home corner

Pirates

Builders

Mud kitchen

Painting

Mark making

Books and story telling area.

Every day, whatever the weather, you can play

outside (please make sure that you always have

wellington boots and waterproof clothes).

Sand pit

Bikes and cars, climbing frames and tunnels are

outside.

Each day we have a drink and fruit at the snack

bar. Please bring a named water bottle, which

you can drink from when you are thirsty.

On the first Tuesday of each month we have is

a special ‘Stay and Play’ day. You can ask the

grown-up who brings you to stay and join in your

play.

8:30 – 9:00 session

12:30 – 1:00 session
