The Operating Committee want to help to unite Nyewood andcreate a strong community spirit through fun and engagingevents - while we await our new hall.
We pledge to continue working hard to arrange events foreveryone to enjoy. If you see them round the village, share yourideas for making Nyewood a great place to live.

MAGICAL CONCERT KEEPS ON GIVING...
Fundraising total now exceeds £10,000...
The Magic of Christmas concert in its fifth year was a smashhit
Petersfield Mayor’s charity Home-Start Butser, The RosemaryFoundation ‘Hospice at Home’ charity and the fund for therebuilding of Nyewood’s Village Hall were the chosen charitiesfor the 2018 concert – sharing in over £2,500 raised fromticket sales and a magical prize draw.
Concert-goers enjoyed an eclectic feast of music from WaltDisney to ‘White Christmas’, from ‘The Greatest Showman’ to‘Mamma Mia’, performed by the 50 strong Emsworth ConcertBand and talented local vocalist, Sophie Bateman who has

performed in some of the most prestigious venues, including St.Paul’s Cathedral, all conducted and compèred by Matt Bowditcha member of the Royal Marines Band Service.
With its 5th fabulous event, The Magic of Christmas concertteam - including many Nyewood and Harting residents - hasraised over £10,000 to date for local charities and causes.
It really is a sparkling way to start Christmas and help localcauses – hope to see you there in 2019!!

Something for everyone to enjoy
We're bringing back some of our favourite events
This year, we are offering everyone a chance to get involved inone or all the events we have planned...
Return of 'What the ????' QuizSaturday, 6 April at Elsted Village Hall from 7.30 pm
This antedote to all quizzes is the amazing creation of PaulMartin, Nyewood resident. Enter a team or join in with anotheron the night. Just contact Paul to secure your tickets (£2.50 perperson) by phoning 821149. Bring your own food and drink toenjoy as no bar will be provided. We will also be offering araffle with a big prize!
Nyewood Summer FeteSaturday, 22 June on the green at Furze Meadow
This will be our second village fete, following last year's hugelysuccessful inaugural event which raised funds in excess of£1,000 to help make Nyewood look its best. Money you helpedraise is being spent on new planters, bulb planting andmore. Pam Cooper will be popping a flyer through your doorwith more details soon.
Family Ramble, with a pub stop on the way...Sunday, 6 October starting and ending in Nyewood
Join us for a family friendly ramble around the nearbycountryside, with a pub stop en-route. Dogs welcome onleads...more details to follow...

We will be advertising each event in the village informationpoint (telephone box), by email, posters and verge signs.
HARTING PARISH ELECTIONS
Calling for nominations from Nyewood
We're able to have two council members to represent our ward
If you want Nyewood's residents represented locally, why not run in the forthcoming Harting Parish
Council elections?
To date we've had fantastic representation from Daphne Gammon, Terry Curran and others. Having
two members on the newly elected council means Nyewood will be fully represented and be heard at
Parish Council meetings.
