Were going on a trip to the jungle! Before we leave, we need to learn more about the jungle.

Lets do some research.Do you know what a jungle is? Click on the picture to watch an Animal Jungle Movie.

Research is the serious study and collecting of information about something. We are going to research the jungle by looking up information online. A jungle is land covered with many trees, vines, and bushes; a tropical rain forest. [To support the child in demonstrating appropriate viewing behaviors, use the verbal cues do good listening and keep a quiet mouth as necessary throughout the viewing of the Animal Jungle Movie.] 2Lets meet jungle animals!Hide and SeekClick on the picture to meet the animals hiding in the jungle.

We will play the Animal Jungle Game to learn about the animals.

Do you know how to play Hide and Seek? I see two animals playing Hide and Seek in the jungle! Who is hiding?3Now, lets make our OWN jungle. We are going to practice naming the animals while we make our very own jungle!Do you remember the names of the animals we met playing the Animal Jungle Game?Click on the lion.

What is your favorite jungle animal? 4Thank you for helping me find the lion. Do you know whatsound the lion makes?

Click on the lionsmouth to listen tothe lion roar.

Can you roar like a lion?

[When the child roars like a lion, incorporate the sound in a sentence. For example, The lion roars. or The lion says, roar when hes hungry. Encourage the child to use the word lion and the sound roar together in an utterance. In the childs Daily Session Note, document the length of the utterance by the number of words.]5Jungle animals need our help!We are going to help rescue a chimpanzee, a gorilla, an antelope, and a leopard.First, click on the word:JungleWhen we get there, click on Jungle Rescue.

Rescue means to make someone safe again; bring out of a dangerous situation. 6Souvenir TimeWe need a souvenir from the jungle to take home with us.Lets make a jungle coloring page.Click on the art supplies to color. When youre all done, we will print or email your artwork to show your family!

A souvenir is something kept as a reminder of a place, event, or friendship; memento.7What a great adventure!Stand up!We are going to sing and dance like the jungle animals we learned about on our trip.
