• Conduct policy and program relevant research that improves health status of populations

• Serve as advisors to governments, agencies, and organizations

• Strengthen national capacity to conduct, analyze and communicate applied research

• Bring the results of field research and advising into DGH classrooms and activities

Global Health CompetenciesIn low- and middle-income settings, graduates will be able to:• Use program and budget management skills to design and

implement health programs• Apply a multidisciplinary approach to analyze health

systems and institutions involved in financing and providing preventative and curative health services at the multilateral, bilateral, national, and community levels

• Integrate information and apply models from epidemiological, economic, behavioral, and cultural perspectives to promote social changes required to improve the health of populations
