Dear People of Holy Family, St. Mary’s and St. Anthony’s:
We know that there were lots of activities in our three parishes. We had a
school auction and dinner and 56
th
annual Turkey Dinner. People are really good and
work hard for our parishes. It shows your concerns and commitments towards the
welfare of our parishes and schools. I really appreciate your good hearts. Let our
Good God bless you all and your families.
At the same time, we have not forgotten the Diocesan Annual Appeal. We
are for behind in our target to achieve. As we know that it seems to be a burden on
our shoulders, even though, it is our duty to support our common ministry which is
done through our Diocese of La Crosse. Let us take it as a challenge and do it this
year also. I need your full support to reach the target in DAA goal.
We are getting ready to celebrate Lent 2019. I hope that the Lenten season is going to bring a lot of
blessing to all our families. March 6, ASH WEDNESDAY, the first day of our lent. We are going to concen-
trate on the word of God (40 days, 40 Questions from one of the Gospels), Let us take it as a challenge to
read the Gospel in our homes and let us encourage each other to read and answer the questions. The second
one is that we are going to do the short way of the cross (about 7 minutes) at the end of each weekend Masses.
I will lead the Stations of the Cross and you are going to participate with small activity of raising the cross
and pray with our community. Let us have the fruitful and useful Lenten season.
God bless you all, Fr. Leo Johnson
