United In Christ
MISSION STATEMENT
As Catholic Christians, we will live to serve God and each other. And do His will as one family united in Faith. We will teach, serve, and be an example to the youth of the parish that they will come to a full understanding of Christ and His plan for their lives. We will nurture the gifts and talents of all parish members and use them wisely for the glory of God. We will compassionately implement the Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy for those in our Parish, Diocese and throughout the world. Through the celebration of the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, we affirm our Communion with Christ and each other. All are welcome.

Jesus said to them in reply, "Do you think that because these Galileans suffered in this way they were greater sin-ners than all other Galileans? By no means! But I tell you,
if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!" - Lk 13:2-3

Liturgical Reflection… The devotion prompting the faithful to visit the Blessed Sacrament draws them into an even deeper share in the paschal mystery and leads them to respond grate-fully to the gift of him who through his humanity pours divine life into the mem-bers of his Body. Abiding with Christ the Lord, the faithful enjoy the Lord’s inti-mate friendship and pour out their hearts before him for themselves and for those dear to them, and they pray for the peace and salvation of the world. Offering their entire lives with Christ to the Father in the Holy Spirit, believers derive from the Holy Sacrament an increase in faith, hope, and charity. PRAYERFUL REMEMBRANCE FOR
ALL SERVING IN THE MILITARY
PLEASE, if you have a loved one ad-mitted to the hospital or nursing home contact the office. The hospital may take your church information, but we are not always notified. Fr. Bob likes to get to the hospital in a timely man-ner, but cannot if he doesn’t know. Thanks for your help.
HOSPITALIZED After this weekend, we have one more Lenten Sunday before we enter Holy Week on Palm Sunday. A listing of all the Lenten Penance Services in the area can be found in this weeks bulletin. I will try to schedule some additional times here in the parish as well, but that can be difficult to do. I would ask you to take advantage of the area penance services where there are several confessors available and the lines move much quicker. There will be no confessions scheduled here in the parish after Wednesday of Holy Week. Thinking ahead, after Easter I would like to recruit more Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers, as well as new altar servers. With the arrival of Spring and the anticipation of another school year coming to an end, I would like to use those months for the training in all these ministries. Per-haps make this Lenten season a time of prayerful reflection as to which of these you might be willing to accept. After Easter we can then begin to make plans for the proper instruction in either one or more of these important ministries of the Church. Our Fish Dinners seem to be going very well and I thank all those who have come forward in any way to make them so successful. We have a very good reputation in the area at both sites. Everywhere I go, someone stops and tells me that we have the best dinners in the area. I have been so blessed in these 15 years with you and hope to be here until retirement at 75 or death, if it comes sooner! That, however, I do not have any control over. The schedule for Holy Week services here in the parish are listed in the bulletin this week. St. Benedict’s in Geistown will have their Penance Service on Monday, April 15th of Holy Week. Please take advantage of this opportunity. Usually there are at least 20 confessors or more available both in the church and the school. It is like the express lane in the grocery store and all are “checked out” within an hour’s time. The last “Stations of the Cross” here in the parish will be on April 9th. Please check bulletin this weekend for time and place.

Families and the Gospel March 31 Luke 15:1-3, 11-32
We may feel like the Prodigal Son but the gospel wants us to focus on the father who was forgiving and understanding. We all make mistakes and need forgiveness. Who in your family needs your forgiveness and acceptance this Lent?

Family Ritual
For several months now, new Christians have been preparing to be entered into the Church Family in your parish at the Easter Vigil. Welcome them by making a card, crafting a cross, or
by some other kind deed to let them know you and your family are thinking of them.
Get their names from the parish office and pray for them daily.
