Milt’s Dinner with Eli Beer at ASBI Friday, November 11, 5:45 PM
Join Eli Beer at ASBI next Friday for a dinner catered by Milt's. Eli Beer, a veteran medic and the Founder and President of United Hatzalah, is transforming the delivery of
emergency medical response in Israel and around the world. By pioneering new GPS technologies, innovative equipment, tand more, United Hatzalah has dramatically reduced
response times to those in need—from 10-12 minutes to 3 minutes or less, saving lives.
Eli was born in Israel, where he witnessed his first terror attack at the age of seven. This traumatic experience, coupled with his desire to help save people, encouraged him to
become a volunteer medic. With 25 years of life-saving experience, he has responded to civil, wartime, and terror-related incidents. Beer has been a featured speaker at TEDMED
and the AIPAC 2015 National Conference and was the recipient of the 2010 Social Entrepreneur for Israel Awards from the Schwab Foundation, the 2011 Presidential Award

UPCOMING EVENTS
Israel Movie Night “The House of Rothschild” (1934)
Monday, November 21, 7:00 PM at ASBI
George Arliss plays Nathan Rothschild, the head of a family of celebrated 19th century Jewish bankers. Despite the anti-Semitic efforts of a powerful politico (Boris Karloff), Rothschild moves in the best European social circles. He is ultimately knighted for his services to the English crown, which include the financing of the Duke of Wellington's battle against Napoleon at Waterloo.
Designed in part as an attack against the burgeoning anti-Semitism movement in Hitler's Germany, “House of Rothschild” was ironically exploited by Nazi functionary Joseph Goebbels, who redubbed and re-edited the film to serve as anti-Jewish propaganda. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture.
Pizza, pop, popcorn, and chips will be served. Sponsored by the Israel Committee.
