Dear Parishioners, To all the mothers in our parish community, Happy Mother's Day!!! This is a story that I read a few years ago and I would like to share it with all of you on this day, Mother's Day. A young boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and he handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mama dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said: For cutting the grass: $5.00. For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00. For going to the store for you: ¢0.50. For babysitting my brother while you were out with your friends: ¢0.25. For taking out the garbage: $1.00. For getting good grades: $5.00. For cleaning up and sweeping the yard: $2.00. Total amount payable: $14.75. After reading the IOU, his mother smiled as she looked at him. She picked up a pen and at the back of the paper the boy had writ-ten on, she wrote: For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No charge. For the sleepless nights I spent after you were born because you needed constant care: No charge. For the nights I sat up with you and prayed for you when you were sick: No charge. For the worries I have for you every time you go out and do sports and stay out later than you should: No charge. For wiping your nose, cooking for you, giving you toys and clothes. No charge. When you add it all up, the cost of my love: NO CHARGE. When the boy finished reading his moth-er's note, there were tears in his eyes. He hugged his mother and whispered: "Can I charge it to dad then?"
For all the things that you do dear mothers, thank you very much. Your love comes close to the love that God has for all of his people - free of charge. May God continue to bless you.

Our cemetery clean-up day is schedule for May 22 at 9 am. Everyone is invited. Bring the tools you are most comfortable working with and enjoy the work you are doing. Here are some of the rules for our cem-etery:
NO DIGGING- NO ROCKS - NO BARK DUST - NO WOOD CHIPS NO GLASS - NO PERMANENT PLANTINGS - NO ARTIFICIAL FLOWERW BETWEEN MARCH & SEPTEMBER
NO OBJECTS THAT COULD IMPEDE THE MAINTENANCE & SAFETY OF THESE GROUNDS
NO DOGS - HEADSTONES MUST BE LEVEL & FLAT
NO SPRAYING SROUND STONES.
El día de limpieza para nuestro Cementerio esta programada para el 22 de mayo a las 9:00 am. Están todos invitados. Trae la herramienta de tu gusto para que disfrutes mejor tu trabajo. Las reglas de nuestro ce-menterio son:

NINGÚN OBJETO QUE PODRÍA IMPEDIR EL MANTENIMIENTO Y SEGURIDAD DE ESTOS TERRENOS

Estimados feligreses, A todas las madres de nuestra comunidad parroquial, ¡¡¡Feliz Día de las Madres !!! Esta es una historia que leí hace unos años y me gustaría compartir-la con todos ustedes en este día, el Día de la Madre. Un niño se acercó a su madre en la cocina una noche mientras ella preparaba la cena y le entregó un papel en el que había estado escri-biendo. Después de que su mamá se secó las manos en un delantal, lo leyó, y esto es lo que decía: Por cortar el césped: $ 5.00. Por limpiar mi habitación esta semana: $ 1.00. Por ir a la tienda por ti: ¢ 0.50. Por cuidar a mi hermano mientras salías con tus amigos: ¢ 0.25. Por sacar la basura: $ 1.00. Por sacar buenas notas: $ 5,00. Por limpiar y barrer el jardín: $ 2.00. Monto total a pagar: $ 14.75. Después de leer lo que le debía, su madre sonrió mientras lo mira-ba. Cogió un lápiz y en el reverso del papel en el que había escrito el chico, escribió: Durante los nueve meses que te cargué mientras cre-cías dentro de mí: sin costo. Por las noches de insomnio que pasé des-pués de que nacieras porque necesitabas cuidados constantes: sin cos-to. Por las noches que me senté contigo y oré por ti cuando estabas enfermo: Sin costo. Por las preocupaciones que tengo por ti cada vez que sales a hacer deporte y te quedas fuera más tarde de lo debido: Sin costo. Por limpiarse la nariz, cocinar para ti, regalarte juguetes y ropa. Sin costo. Cuando lo sumas todo, el costo de mi amor: SIN COSTO. Cuando el niño terminó de leer la nota de su madre, tenía lágrimas en los ojos. Abrazó a su madre y le susurró: "¿Entonces se lo puedo cobrar a papá?"
Por todas las cosas que hacéis queridas madres, muchas gracias. Su amor se acerca al amor que Dios tiene por todo su pueblo, de forma gratuita. Que Dios te siga bendiciendo.
