Welcome to Ruston Squash! Thank you for your interest in joining the club. We’ve put this information together to help new and prospective members. If you have any specific query not covered in this leaflet please don’t hesitate to contact us via the email provided. The Club Ruston Squash is part of the Ruston Sports and Social Club. We currently have 2 hard-back courts with a viewing balcony. The courts are of a good standard and are available for use 09.00 – 22.20 everyday. The Squash Committee has an aspiration to add an additional 2 glass-back courts in the future. The club has excellent changing facilities. Internal Leagues The club operates an internal league system offering friendly competitive play for a wide-range of standards. The leagues are administrated through the eBooking online system. The system will email you your league details at the start of each league period. Leagues usually consist of 5 players and take place over a 4-5 week block depending on seasonal holidays. Applications to enter the leagues can be made by email to [email protected] Please include your name, email address, telephone number (preferably mobile) and which league number would be your preference. Teams The club has teams playing in the Lincoln Weekend League, Lincolnshire (mid-week) League and the Notts League. Further information can be sought from respective team captains. Courts are priority booked for team games during the playing season (Sept – April). Court Booking Courts are booked up to 6 days in advance via the ebooking system (6 th day becomes available from 6pm). When you join you will be provided with a 3-digit login and a 4-digit passcode. Having logged in you will be able to view available courts and book, cancel or amend your bookings. To add an opponent member just start to type their name into the respective box and a list of members will appear to select from. If you are playing a non- member guest, click of the person symbol and enter the non-members name. A £5.00 fee is applicable for guests. Members are responsible for ensuring this is paid. Members may book more than one court off-peak, but are requested to only book one court during peak times (5.20pm – 9pm). Coaching Junior coaching sessions are conducted by ESR Coach Russel Watkins usually on Saturday mornings. On occasion guest coaches may offer further coaching. Further information is available on the court balcony.

Tournaments The club holds both competitive and fun tournaments throughout the year. Information is posted on the court balcony and the Ruston Squash Facebook page. The Facebook page is by invitation. Please email Ruston Squash and we will send you an invite to join the Facebook group. eBooking system The link to the club website is: https://ebookingonline.net/box/box3.php?id=149 The system allows easy booking of courts and works on any web browser or mobile web app. Club Night On Monday evenings between 6pm and 7.20pm both courts are booked out for club night. All members are welcome to attend this free session and meet other players at the club, play games and improve their play. Racketball A number of players play racketball. Courts are available for racketball as with squash. Conduct Whilst we are a friendly club we also need to ensure that players are safe and facilities are respected for the wider good, so some rules are required to allow this. The following rules apply:

• Under 19’s must wear eye protection during play. • Clean non-marking footwear is required • Check the spy-hole and knock before entering the court • Turn off lights and fans when not in use

Ruston Squash Committee The club has a committee who aim to help improve facilities and support and develop squash and racketball at the club. Members of the club can raise any issue with committee members or email [email protected] with suggestions, comments or queries that they wish the committee to consider.
