Following this continued success Phaidon International raised a HK $195,500,000 investment from Muzinich & Co and HSBC Bank Plc in April 2016. This investment will enable the group to continue its global expansion by diversifying into new markets and opening more offices with a specific focus on expansion in the US.

The expansion plans in place offer highly entrepreneurial growth potential for all current and prospective employees.

Our projected growth plans will see the Asia headcount grow to over 100 people by the end of 2018, Hong Kong will account for half of this.

Following a lot of success in Singapore Phaidon International expanded to Hong Kong in late 2014 to better serve our clients and candidates across the region.

Since then headcount alone has grown by over 500% and we have quickly established ourselves as one of the largest and most specialist recruitment businesses across the region.

We now plan to get to double our current headcount over the next 18 months before expanding and opening more offices across the Asian region.

I joined Phaidon in early 2017 as a Private Wealth Consultant under Carlton Senior Appointments. I chose to join as I was really excited about the unlimited career opportunities on offer to everyone in the business. Following a successful first 7 months with the company, I was promoted to ‘Principal Consultant’, in one of the fastest times in company history. Now I sit in a role where I am managing my own business and budget alongside building out by own specialist recruiting team, a position I didn’t expect to be in so early in my career!

My favourite thing about the company is the culture. A job in sales can definitely be frustrating at times but everyone here at Phaidon is very supportive and the super-friendly environment easily helps me get through challenges in the role. The continued support has allowed me to consistently drive revenue for the business, to build strong relationships with my clients and overall contribute positively to the team here at Phaidon!

I joined Phaidon in September 2010 as an original member of Laking Group which, at the time was our oil and gas business and had no book of business - which was a little daunting or very exciting dependent on what type of character you are! However with great training, mentorship and hard work we quickly began signing terms with hundreds of clients, building a database of thousands of candidates, expanding the team across the world and positively impacting our clients and candidates.

As with most sales roles, my journey has had ups and downs. This is a hard job, however, keeping your eye on the prize and that hefty paycheck at the end of the month makes it worthwhile and helps you to see the bigger picture. Through hard work, guidance and a positive attitude I hit my first promotion in 6 months. I have since then been promoted a further 8 times, worked in 3 of our micro-niche brands and had the pleasure of working in 3 of our international offices! Following this journey I was recently promoted to Group Executive Director where I am responsible for running the whole of the Asian region for the business.

My favourite thing about the company is the people we are surrounded by alongside the amount of responsibility that I have been given. Due to our organic structure almost all of the managers have been there and done the job that you are doing, this understanding means the training and direction given by the managers is both specific and supportive. Further more the culture is that of a close-knit family. Friendly competition is promoted making each person continually strive to improve and be the best they can be and the culture gives a new meaning to “work hard, play hard”. The future at Phaidon is bright!

What does a Consultant do?

• Proactively interact and maintain great relationships with top financial institutions in Asia Pacific

• You will act as a consultant to understand the client's needs in terms of Best Talent • Being knowledgeable with regards to current market conditions and being aware of
