Welcome to OxleyWelcome to Oxley Christian College Open Day. It is a pleasure to meet you, whether this is your first visit, or if you are already involved with the College in some way. Established in 1979, Oxley is a multi-denominational Christian College committed to excellence in learning and teaching from the Early Years through to Year 12. We provide quality education involving rigorous academic and exciting co-curricular programs. An Oxley education nurtures Christian character and wellbeing in students, so that graduates have the skills and humility to act with integrity, compassion and courage as they engage with their communities. Our talented staff are focused on providing an enjoyable, diverse and rounded education for students who are challenged to be, and to contribute, their very best. We invite you to consider joining our vibrant and supportive educational community. Please collect an Information Pack from the main Reception area or outside the Resource Centre. The College Principal, Dr Douglas Peck, will be speaking in the Broadley Performing Arts Centre Auditorium at 11.30am. The Principal’s Address will be followed by an opportunity for prospective families to join a tour group to visit classrooms and demonstration lessons and other areas of the College. Tours will leave from the Broadley Performing Arts Centre foyer. We trust you enjoy the various exhibitions, demonstrations and performances; a taste of the rich educational experiences at Oxley. Staff and students will be delighted to chat with you. Complimentary refreshments are available throughout the day in the Staff Room. Lunch may also be purchased from the various food stalls or the Canteen. Every completed entry in our Open Day competition will go in the draw for an opportunity to win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Collect all seven tokens from designated points within the College and attach them to the enclosed entry form. Place completed forms in the box located in the main Reception area. Entry is limited to one per family. We hope you enjoy the day!

General InformationPrincipal's Address for Prospective ParentsThe Principal will speak to guests at 11.30am in the Broadley Performing Arts Centre (BPAC). Conducted tours for both Junior and Senior School will follow.

Broadley Performing Arts Centre (BPAC)This wonderful facility supports our Music and Drama education. The auditorium seats 250 – a key performance space for major music productions and other events.

MusicRoom B12 is the main Music teaching room for the Senior School, while a focus on Music Technology is supported through the wonderful facilities in B13. One-to-one, or small group lessons, occur each school day in the smaller teaching rooms on the entrance side of the building. B10 is the main Performing Arts teaching space for our Junior School. This room also hosts our large choirs and ensembles.

DramaOur Drama classrooms are utilised as rehearsal spaces today, but you can find a display of colour and creativity in Room 22. Work your way through folios, and see sample costume and stage designs created by students. Images and costumes from recent productions will be on display, and student performances and rehearsals can be viewed live and on the big screen throughout the day. Look out for characters from our upcoming production of Singin' In The Rain, who will be roaming around the school grounds!

Enviro BarnAt the Enviro Barn, you will be welcomed by our enthusiastic Junior School Enviro Captains, who are looking forward to taking you for a tour of the gardens and native habitats that have been established by the Junior School students. Enviro Captains will happily serve you tasty treats and Bush Tucker Tea, including organic produce from the edible gardens. View the displays highlighting the Enviro Team's support of 'The Orangutan Project' and 'The Society for the Helmeted Honeyeaters'.
