Welcome to our STEM night!
What is STEM? STEM education is an approach to teaching and
learning that integrates the content and skills of science, technology, engineering, and math (MSDE, 2012). STEM instruction should include engagement in inquiry, logical reasoning, collaboration, and investigation (MSDE, 2012).
Why STEM? If we analyze where we stand in terms of technology and
all the scientific global issues that we face daily, we will understand the need for an education reform geared to science, technology, engineering and math. The goal of STEM Education is to prepare students for post-secondary study and the 21st century (MSDE, 2012).
