School Councillors and Eco Warriors
• Each class has School Councillors and Eco-warriors who help one of our teachers, Mrs Raybould, decide what changes we should make at our school to make it a better place.
• School councillors are there to help pupils. They have class and school meetings each week.
• Eco warriors help to keep our school environment clean and tidy e.g through doing litter picks. They also encourage less water usage and recycling. We gained the ‘Green Flag’ award. We also have a school garden where we grow fruit and vegetables.
OUR CLASSROOMS LOOK LIKE THIS
We like things that are about looking after the environment. The butterfly is made from individual pieces of art made by the younger children from felt. The other creatures were made by
the older children using tiles to make a mosaic
FOREST SCHOOLSThe youngest children take part in this activity
DUNALLEY UNIVERSITYDunalley University happens on a Friday afternoon. We do a variety of different activities e.g cookery, sport, art, zumba, animation, ukulele, singing, school newspaper.
We complete the activities for six weeks and then we have a celebration and show what we have learnt to our parents and the other pupils. We are awarded certificates.
We get to learn new things and it also inspires us to try different things.
At school some of us have a hot dinner, they are cooked at school. The other children bring a packed
lunch from home.
This is the staffroom where the teachers have their lunch.
We hope you have enjoyed this powerpoint.
