Specials Schedule
• Monday- 8:30-9:15• Tuesday- 8:30-9:15•Wednesday- 8:30-10:00• Thursday- 8:30-9:15• Friday- 8:30-9:15
Meet the Teachers
• Ms. Walker will be teaching Math and Science.
• Mrs. Hathorn will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies.
Library• Our Library day is Wednesday.
Please make sure your child has their books at school so they can exchange or recheck on their Library day.
Lunch
We go to lunch at the following time:

*The kids can bring a healthy snack to eat mid morning.

Homework
• Be sure to check your child’s planner every night( need to buy at School Store
• Math homework is sent home daily and due the next day.
• Reading homework this nine weeks in READO, they need to complete 18 squares.
Homework Continued
• Spelling– Test on Thursdays– Words based on Spelling principles and
patterns– Goal: for the students to use their
knowledge of the new spelling patterns in their writing.
– Put in as non graded assignment then all tests are averaged for one daily grade

How You Can Help Your Child
• R*Check your child’s planner every night.*Listen to your child read.*Help your child learn their math facts.
GT Referrals
• The GT referral window for K-11 is August 25th – Sept. 26th
• If you would like to refer your child for Klein’s Gifted and Talented Program, please stop by the front office to pick up a referral packet.
• If you have any questions or concerns, please call our counselor, Anne Francis at 832-484-7706. Referral packets must be turned in to the counselor
