STAR STUDENT!Each week one student will be chosen to be the Star Student. We go alphabetically.

He/she is to fill a bag with things that have special meaning or demonstrate his/her interests. Things such as stuffed animals, trophies, favorite books, souvenirs from vacations would be appropriate. He/she should bring in 3-5 photographs. On Monday morning, he/she will complete the stars with his/her favorite books, movies, subjects, and activities … to be displayed on the bulletin board. He/she will be able to share his or her pictures and favorite things on Monday.

He/she will be responsible for the jobs for the entire week! Those jobs include line leader, messenger, paper passer, mail carrier, and lunch count. He/she may choose a different friend to help with these jobs.

BOOK REPORTS AND PROJECTS

Each semester the children will be doing a book report and/or project. They will be given a rubric telling the directions and expectations.

The time your child spends reading these books counts toward their monthly reading calendar minutes!

Your local librarian is the best resource.
