About Me

• I was born in California, and moved to Texas in 2nd grade – graduated from Llano High School

• I attended Modesto Jr College where I ran track and cross country, and then received my bachelors and masters degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX

• I have 3 children, and will soon have 2 step children – getting married this June

• I have been teaching and coaching for 28 years in public schools! I teach 7th & 8th grade science at LTMS

Grading:• Tests, Projects, & Some

Labs – 60%• Daily Work,

Homework, and some labs – 40%

• Assignments are due the next day unless otherwise stated• Homework is often graded in class• Assignments are accepted one day late with a 30 point

deduction• Assignments two or more days late are a zero• Projects one day late receive a 15 point deduction, and two

days late 30 point deduction

Absent Work:

• Please check my webpage and Schoology to see what is missed

• Students should speak with me as soon as they return after an absence (before school, or before or after class)

• Students are responsible for any work they missed

Lab Policies

• Each student must pass a lab safety test with at least 85% and turn in a signed lab safety contract in order to participate for the year

• Students must wear closed toe shoes and follow dress code rules for the lab on lab days

• Students should remain on task and no horseplay will be tolerated

• Disruptive behavior will result in the student being removed from the lab and possibly an office referral
