What is ENVIRONMENT? Environment is the

external space outside of us but that which affects what happens within us. All of our senses -- sight, smell, sound, touch and taste -- can influence our mood as well as our health.

Just about anything in the environment can elicit an automatic response after an association has been established.

What does the Bible say about ENVIRONMENT?

Genesis 2:15 "The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it."

Jeremiah 2:7 “And I brought you into a plentiful land to enjoy its fruits and its good things. But when you came in, you defiled my land and made my heritage an abomination.”

John 6:12 “And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Leviticus 25:23-24 “The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants. Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land.”

Clean Your Emotional House! Look inside yourself!

1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Clear up your Internal Environment Display objects that awaken good memories. Surround yourself with things that bring a feeling of peace,

comfort, and joy. Pictures of family and friends—or awards or honors. Try displaying paintings full of color, or sculptures brimming

with life. Choose items that allow your spirit to dream and draw

your soul closer to God.

Numerous studies document the fact that we must have touch to develop and grow.

Research has shown that husbands who hug their wives regularly tend to live longer and have fewer heart problems.

We need four hugs a day for survival, eight for maintenance, and twelve for growth.

Hebrews 12:28-29 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,

John 13:34-35  A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Be in awe of your environment!
