ISLE OF MAN MSR COACHES ASSOCIATION
MSR Coaches Association has now been in place for 5 years, and in 2011 the
association was re launched as the Isle of Man (IOM) MSR Coaches Association (CA).
The new IOM MSR C A will now welcome members from all sports recognised by Isle of
Man Sport. However, the ultimate decision on a coach’s membership in relation to a
successful or un successful application will lie with the SDU.
Sports Coach UK the National body for Coaches have been a key partner in setting up
theAssociation. Sports Coach UK recognise that coaches play a crucial role in the
sporting community. Through the development of a single coaches association the
scheme will ensure that highly skilled coaches deliver sport to children, players and
athletes across the Island. The MSR Coaches Association will provide the tools needed
for this to happen.
Sports Coach UK recognise that the Isle of Man is setting a great example to sporting
agencies across the UK and is leading the way for future developments in this area.
SPORT DEVELOPMENT UNIT COACHING

their range of activities, for many young people the SDU have given them the confidence
and enthusiasm to excel in sport. For others, being involved in sport has helped forge
strong friendships as well as installing young people with good work ethics and values
that have impacted positively on other areas of their lives.
